Named after Lu’s mother Marian, this cottage has a cozy ambience and open floor plan. Hand painted stencils decorate the wooden floorboards, the walls are knotty pines, and there is a brick fireplace and mantle to decorate with shells. Books line the shelves.
“Marian’s Sand Box’ is a perfect place to snuggle up and read a novel or write one. Seventy five foot-steps from the beach, you can delight in watching the sunrise over Cape Cod Bay or an evening’s full moon reflect on the water. “Marian’s Sand Box” now has two bedrooms, a master with a queen bed, and a second with two twins (trundle beds), and also a full/double brass bed. There is a full bathroom with a tub and shower.
An oval wooden dining table sets near a window, and the living room couch comes with a warm quilt to snuggle while watching cable TV. There are also two chairs. An open fully stocked kitchen comes with coffee maker, toaster, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, utensils, and a dozen pots and pans for cooking on the stove. Marian’s Sand Box has a heater installed for cool weather.
Outside there is a wooden deck with table and umbrella, chairs, charcoal BBQ, clothesline, and private outside shower. Even a dunking tub for sandy feet is provided!
