“The Salt Box” is a Cape Cod traditional cottage. History dictates they was designed to be technically one floor to avoid paying taxes to the Queen Anne for two floors. Others say it shaped like a salt box used to store salt. John Adams our second President was born in one.
But whatever the case, The Salt Box is a wonderful cottage with three bedrooms. A queen bedroom is on the first floor, and upstairs there is a double bed. The third bedroom has three twin beds. The Saltbox has two bathrooms one on each floor, plus a private outside shower.
The living room is cozy and comfortable with a cable flat screen TV. The kitchen is large and sunny with a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, and toaster. It is stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. The cottage is winterized with electric heaters. The kitchen opens to a large dining area with windows dressed in laced curtains Outside the kitchen door, there is a wooden deck with patio furniture and a charcoal grill awaiting your use to relax and or sip a glass of Bordeaux under the stars. “Salt Box” is one of our most popular cottages and is approximately 150 footsteps to the beach.
